2026 NFL Draft: Pittsburgh is ready, crowds are building and the atmosphere is electric

Round 1 doesn't start until 1am BST / 8pm ET / 5pm PT, but the queues have been forming for hours as football fans gather to witness what promises to be an event to remember.

The 91st edition of the draft, at Point State Park and Acrisure Stadium, features no shortage of headline names, with Fernando Mendoza predicted to be the first overall selection, and four Ohio State prospects tipped to go in the top 10.

The draft stage in Steel City, where the 16 players in attendance will hold up the shirts of their new teams after celebrating with commissioner Roger Goodell, will become the centre of the NFL universe later today.

Announcements have been ringing out around the stadium as staff run through final preparations, giving the fans already inside a little preview of the fun to come.
