NCAA conferences set to ban NFL players

As reported on Monday, Dae'Quan Wright was waived by the Cleveland Browns, aiming to go to LSU after the NCAA set their new fifth-year eligibility rule.
Wright was the first player to enter the transfer portal and 'commit' to a college team.
Several NCAA conferences have called for emergency meetings on Tuesday to determine a new rule that would ban NFL players from going back to college football.
The Big Ten became the first conference to approve this rule, with a formal presentation still yet to come.
It's been reported that the ACC and SEC are planning on following the Big Ten's steps.
This brings in a different kind of problem, as Wright was among the group of players who won a restriction order against the NCAA, declaring they have the right to a fifth year.
The order, given by a court in Louisiana, restricts the NCAA from stopping the players from entering the transfer portal.
Shortly after the verdict in Louisiana, the NCAA announced that the class of 2022 would not be eligible for their fifth year, ruling that this group of football players do not enter due to the previous order.
It's still unclear whether this ruling will impact the conferences' bans on professional players in any way.

Big Ten players Luke Drzewiecki and Trent Hendrick are technically still eligible per Big Ten rules, as they never signed an NFL contract, nor were they on an official roster. Both only participated in rookie minicamps.
