De'Zhaun Stribling leads rookies after NFL preseason Week 2

Preseason Week 2 games left us with a lot to talk about, as we are a bit more than two weeks away from the NFL regular season.
Rookies keep on leaving their mark as the 53-man roster cut approaches, hoping to make the team.
Here are four rookies that stood out this weekend.
De'Zhaun Stribling, WR, San Francisco 49ers
Once again, Stribling showed why he has been one of the most talked-about rookies this preseason.
With four receptions, 46 yards, and a long of 21 yards, the rookie is proving he deserves a starting position in San Francisco.
However, the Niners are still the Niners. Stribling sustained a minor injury against the Chargers and returned to practice in a no-contact jersey.
The ex-Ole Miss player will be day-to-day, and his game load will be expected to be precautionary, hoping he'll be able to play Week 1 in Melbourne.
CJ Daniels, WR, Los Angeles Rams
After going unnoticed against the Chiefs last week, Daniels swaggered through SoFi Stadium with an excellent performance versus the Saints.
Eight receptions, 68 yards and a long of 17 yards were Daniels' contributions to a 34-0 win on Saturday.
Daniels currently sits third on the Rams' unofficial depth chart for the 2026 season, something that will surely change before their season opener against the 49ers in Australia.
The rookie will be one to watch as the NFL regular season approaches.
Jalon Daniels, QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Daniels came on Saturday to shake up the QB2 battle in Tampa Bay.
While the numbers don't speak for themselves (9/14 attempts, 71 yards and one touchdown), Todd Bowles recognized the talent he has in his hands.
"He did a good job, closing out the game second week in a row. He made some clutch plays; obviously there are some things he's got to learn.
"But at the same time he goes out there, and he makes things happen, and he gives us a chance to win." Said Bowles.
Mike Washington Jr., RB, Las Vegas Raiders
The second most-talked-about rookie on the Raiders, Washington might be just what Las Vegas needs until Ashton Jeanty is healthy enough.
In their close win against the Texans, Washington had nine carries, 56 yards and a long of 33 yards.
This comes after some great performances at training camp this past month and at last week's game against the Cardinals.
Washington currently sits second behind Jeanty on the depth chart, but it will be a matter of time to see how Jeanty's ankle sprain progresses.
