Dolphins' Achane No. 26 in NFL Top 100 after stellar season

Miami Dolphins' running back De'Von Achane landed at No. 26 in the NFL Network's annual Top 100 Players countdown this week.

This is his first appearance on the player-voted list, highlighting the respect he has gained among his peers.

Here's why the Pro Bowler made the list.

Achane is a star, and Miami knows it

The Dolphins selected Achane in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft, and they haven't looked back since.

Even as a rookie, he was making headlines and breaking league records, finishing with the highest single-season yards per carry average in NFL history (minimum 100 carries).

Achane made the Pro Bowl team last year after putting up a career-high 1,350 rushing yards on 238 attempts, leading the league with a mark of 5.7 yards per carry.

His efforts were rewarded in May, when the Dolphins inked him to a four-year, $64-million contract extension.

Achane is getting better and better

While he's been making headlines since he arrived in the NFL, it's been three years of steady work, and it seems like it's just the start.

Each year, he's achieved career-high numbers in all-purpose yardage.

As he enters his fourth season in the NFL, Achane has a clear vision of what he wants to achieve.

“I’m trying to get the rushing title," he told Cameron Wolfe and Steve Smith at the Dolphins training camp earlier this month.

The Dolphins will visit the Raiders on September 13 to open their 2026 campaign, where Achane will begin his bid to become the best back in the league.
