Ben Johnson reveals Bears' audacious 2026 goals

The Chicago Bears have spent years rebuilding the offense, and coach Ben Johnson believes they are on the verge of greatness.
As he enters his second year at the helm of the team, he is eyeing a historic run.
With the 2026 NFL season fast approaching, here's why winning the Super Bowl is only the start of what Johnson wants to achieve.

Johnson goal: 'Highest-scoring offense ever'
Johnson inherited a Chicago team that finished 5-12 and turned them into an 11-6 force in 2025.
After winning the NFC North and enjoying their first playoff win since 2010, Johnson has set his sights even higher.
"You've got 31 other teams coming to training camp saying, 'Our goal is to win the Super Bowl,'" he told The Athletic.
"I want more than that. I want to have the highest-scoring offense ever, which happens to be the 2013 Denver Broncos," he continued.
"I know how many points per game they scored [37.9], and I want to surpass them. I want shutouts. I want blowouts."
Williams and Johnson goals in lockstep
Back in February, Caleb Williams joined The Rush Podcast and explained that he wants the Bears to "become the greatest offense."
The 2022 Heisman winner enters this season fully committed to reaching that objective.
“Whatever that comes down to… getting these completions, starting drives, getting drives going and then helping with protection… delivering some easy runner balls," he said.
Whether the Bears achieve the lofty goals set by Johnson and Williams remains to be seen, but you cannot fault their ambition.
