KC Concepcion, Rueben Bain lead five rookie camp standouts

We've seen several offensive rookies pull away from the pack over the past week, each making a strong case for a major role as early as Week 1.

DAZN News presents five rookies who have stood above the rest in the last week.

KC Concepcion, WR, Cleveland Browns

Concepcion has become the top-graded first-round offensive rookie this preseason with a score of 78.4, per PFF (subscription required for full grades).

The No. 24 overall pick has quickly become a favourite target for Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders in training camp and preseason games.

Head coach Todd Monken said, "He doesn’t blink."

With fellow rookie wideout Denzel Boston also turning heads, Watson should have no shortage of weapons.

Caleb Downs, S, Dallas Cowboys

The No. 11 overall pick from Ohio State accomplished what many had been waiting for this week: an interception.

We've seen some great plays from Downs throughout camp, and he figures to be a major addition to what should be a much-improved Dallas defense in 2026.

Mansoor Delane, CB, Kansas City Chiefs

After being sidelined for most of training camp with a shoulder injury, Delane has been making his way back and turning heads in the process.

"Obviously, it wasn’t too many reps, but just getting my feet wet, getting that experience. I think that was the biggest thing for me," the rookie said after practice on Monday.

Delane has also played on special teams on punt coverage, something he has enjoyed because he gets to "go full speed."

Still in the recovery process, Delane will be a great defensive asset for the Chiefs once he's 100%.

Rueben Bain Jr., EDGE, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

It's a great honour when a head coach forgets you're still a rookie because of how strong your work ethic and understanding of the game are.

That's the situation Bain Jr. finds himself in, with Todd Bowles heaping praise on the young edge rusher.

The No. 15 overall pick sustained a minor AC sprain after the Buccaneers' win against Kansas City on Saturday, but he is expected to be OK for Week 1.

Spencer Fano, OT, Cleveland Browns

Projected to be in the starting lineup for Cleveland in Week 1, even an altercation with teammate Jared Verse couldn't slow Fano's roll.

Between Fano, Concepcion and Boston, the Browns' offense could be a quarterback away from fielding an offense capable of finishing above .500.
