The Chicago Bears were founded in 1919, joined the NFL as a founding member in 1920, and collected 8 titles before the AFL-NFL merger.
While they have not enjoyed nearly the same level of success in the Super Bowl era, the team that won Super Bowl XX will forever be regarded as one of the best ever.

| Date | Game | Result |
|---|---|---|
| January 26, 1986 | Super Bowl XX | Chicago Bears 46-10 New England Patriots |
| February 4, 2007 | Super Bowl XLI | Indianapolis Colts 29-17 Chicago Bears |
The Bears won Super Bowl XX, the first one they appeared in. Chicago's roster in that game featured several all-time greats, including Walter Payton, Mike Singletary, William 'The Fridge' Perry, and Richard Dent, to name but a few.
That season was also famous for "the Super Bowl Shuffle," a quintessentially '80s rap song released seven weeks before Super Bowl XX, while the Bears were still in the middle of the regular season.
The song climbed to No. 41 on the Billboard Hot 100 shortly after Chicago's championship and is still talked about today.
As noted, the Bears' only Super Bowl win came in 1986.
