Eagles QB Jalen Hurts drops 37 spots in the NFL Top 100 rankings

The player-driven vote carries a great deal of weight, especially for a player who makes the list for a fourth-straight year, but the big takeaway is that Hurts has fallen sharply by more than 37 places since 2025.

Hurts still had a career-high touchdown haul

The Wild Card exit that ended Philadelphia's season wasn't Hurts' finest hour, with only 168 passing yards on the day and a 4.8 average per attempt lingering long after the trick play that handed the 49ers victory.

But the way that game ended makes it easy to lose sight of the fact that 2025 was, in one way at least, Hurts' best year yet.

He threw a career-high 25 touchdown passes, added eight more with his legs, and picked up a third Pro Bowl nod in four seasons for his troubles.

Only Josh Allen can match that stretch. The two of them are the only active players since 2000 to rack up 30 total touchdowns in four straight seasons.

Why Hurts' ranking dropped so far

It has been a downward trend since he debuted in these rankings at No. 3 back in 2023, falling to 15th in 2024 and 19th last year.

A dip in completion percentage didn't help (64.8%), nor did a quieter year on the ground (421 yards) or a career-low yards per passing attempt (7.1).

Calling 2026 make-or-break feels a stretch, but with A.J. Brown now gone and a ground game that isn't what it was a couple of years back, the pressure is surely on for Hurts to carry Philly in ways he hasn't always needed to before.
