Super Bowl XLIX: Different journeys, same stage
Back in 2015, the Patriots and Seahawks were among the most formidable teams in the league. Both finished the 2014 regular season with identical 12-4 records, underlining a rare equilibrium between two contrasting philosophies.
New England, under head coach Bill Belichick, leaned on precision and adaptability, led by future Hall of Famer Tom Brady, while Seattle, coached by Pete Carroll, rode the back of the NFL’s most feared defense - the Legion of Boom - and a punishing running game with Marshawn Lynch.
