Giants' Jaxson Dart ruffles feathers

Dart caused a stir at Giants training camp by throwing the ball at the helmet of cornerback Greg Newsome after scrambling for a three-yard touchdown.

Tight end Isaiah Likely didn't read too much into the altercation.

But new head coach John Harbaugh didn't take too kindly to his young quarterback's antics.

"I think it's a 15-yard penalty for taunting, so we backed up the extra point and had them do it again," Harbaugh told reporters.

Chalk this momentary distraction up as a learning experience for the man tipped as one of our 2026 breakout candidates.

Zay Flowers lands $140m Ravens extension

Zay Flowers doesn't have to wonder about his market value anymore.

The Ravens are locking him up on a four-year extension worth $140 million, with $108 million guaranteed, a deal ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Tuesday.

That $35 million annual average puts him level with Justin Jefferson for fourth among receivers, and it replaces the fifth-year option Baltimore exercised back in April.

First-year head coach Jesse Minter sounded relieved to have this one off his plate before the season gets going.

"Great day for the Ravens. Shout out to Zay Flowers," Minter said. "When your best players are the right type of people, and they bring the right mentality, and everything marries together, those are the type of guys; it's such a great thing when stuff like that happens for them.

"Nothing better as a coach than to see those guys get what they deserve. So, really happy for Zay and excited for him. I can't wait to see him thrive in our offense."

After pulling in 86 passes for 1,211 yards last year, both new career-highs, the expectation will be for Flowers to match or even exceed those numbers following his new payday.

Dexter Lawrence terrorizing Bengals camp

Ja'Marr Chase has been full of praise for Dexter Lawrence, the mammoth DT who joined Cincinnati in a trade from the Giants.

"Honestly, he's been terrorizing practice," Chase told Yahoo Sports' Jori Epstein. "I can honestly say that."

Bengals offensive coordinator Dan Pitcher has watched his linemen get walked backwards by Lawrence in camp and doesn't sound too thrilled.

"I don't know what you do to counteract that other than you just really focus on the technique of this interior line," he told Epstein.

"You got to be really cognizant of what types of schemes you're trying to run and how often that guy's truly one-on-one," Pitcher continued.

"Running sideways and backwards at a quarterback in the NFL is a good way to not play very long. So it's a problem."

Falcons' Jalon Walker feared to have torn ACL

Atlanta's defensive front took a significant hit on Tuesday, with edge rusher Jalon Walker dealing with a suspected torn ACL.

He's scheduled to have an MRI on Wednesday, but if the early indications are confirmed, he may miss the whole season.

It happened during a non-padded practice, and Walker needed a cart to leave the field as several teammates stood nearby.

As the No. 15 overall pick last year, Walker started nine of his 15 games as a rookie, finishing the year with 5.5 sacks, 36 tackles, and a pair of forced fumbles.

Jeffery Simmons throws punches in Titans camp

Four-time Pro Bowl DT Jeffery Simmons swung at JC Latham during Monday's session.

Head coach Robert Saleh, who moved Simmons to a separate part of the field to work on drills, didn't sound overly concerned, pointing out that he has "brothers that fight all the time."
