NFL Mexico 2026: The Warning headlining Vikings-49ers halftime show

The league has announced that The Warning will headline the halftime show when the Minnesota Vikings face the San Francisco 49ers in Mexico City.

The game, previewed here, will take place at Estadio Banorte on Sunday, November 22 at 7.20pm local time, which is 1.20am UK time on Monday, November 23.

The Warning's performance forms part of a record series of seven halftime shows staged during the 2026 NFL International Games, spanning seven countries and four continents.

Who are The Warning?

Formed in Monterrey, Mexico, The Warning are a rock band consisting of three sisters: Daniela "Dany" Villarreal, Paulina "Pau" Villarreal and Alejandra "Ale" Villarreal.

The trio has gradually established themselves on the international rock scene, accumulating more than 785 million career streams and was nominated for Best Rock Song at the 2024 Latin Grammy Awards.

The band released their fifth album, Everything's Falling, on August 28, 2026.

Their single "Kerosene" also reached No. 1 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, making The Warning the first Mexican band and first all-female group to achieve the feat.

The Warning: "It will be a memorable night"

The band expressed their excitement at performing at an NFL event in their home country.

The Warning also revealed their strong connection to the NFL and promised an energetic performance in Mexico City.

For the league, choosing the trio reflects its desire to produce a show closely connected to the host city and its culture.

Tim Tubito, the NFL's senior director of global game presentation, music and entertainment, described The Warning as a band capable of delivering the "energy, authenticity and local connection" the league wants from its international shows.

Seven halftime shows at the 2026 NFL International Games

The NFL is placing an even greater emphasis on entertainment surrounding its international games in 2026.

The Warning's performance is one of a record seven halftime shows scheduled across the international slate.

Several artists have already been announced:

• Jonas Brothers for the Melbourne game on September 10;
• Pedro Sampaio and Ricky Martin for the Rio game on September 27;
• Ayra Starr for the second London game on October 11;
• The Warning for Vikings-49ers in Mexico City on November 22.

Further artists will be announced to complete the 2026 international schedule.

A record international season for the NFL

The 2026 season marks another major step in the NFL's international strategy.

The league will stage games in London, Madrid, Melbourne, Mexico City, Munich, Paris and Rio de Janeiro.

Melbourne, Paris and Rio de Janeiro will each host an NFL regular-season game for the first time.

Before the start of the 2026 international campaign, 62 NFL regular-season games had already been played outside the United States.

London, Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, Madrid, Dublin, São Paulo, Mexico City and Toronto have all previously hosted games.

Vikings-49ers at the heart of the NFL's Mexico return

The meeting between the Minnesota Vikings and San Francisco 49ers will be one of the highlights of the NFL's international season.

The game will be staged at Estadio Banorte on November 22, with kick-off scheduled for 7:20pm in Mexico City and 1:20am UK time on November 23.

The Warning's full performance will be broadcast live in Mexico on Canal 5, TelevisaUnivision and ESPN.

The NFL has also confirmed that limited-edition merchandise celebrating The Warning's performance will be available through the NFL Shop on game day and at events held throughout the week.
