Myles Garrett ranks No. 1 in the NFL Top 100 as Rams rule supreme

It follows a season for the ages in which the then-Cleveland Browns edge rusher broke the single-season sack record and won the 2025 Defensive Player of the Year award.

Now a member of the Los Angeles Rams following a blockbuster offseason trade, he edged out Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen and Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson into No.2 and No. 3, respectively.

Improving upon his No. 8 ranking last year, Garrett tops the list for the first time, and he is joined in the top seven by teammates Matthew Stafford and Puka Nacua.

In 2025, Garrett's 23 sacks surpassed the previous best single-season mark of 22.5, held jointly by Michael Strahan and T.J. Watt.

Garrett also led the league with 33 tackles for loss, another reason why he was rewarded with his second Defensive Player of the Year title and a fifth first-team All-Pro selection.

His top spot on the NFL Top 100 not only extends this run of honours but also continues a trend; he has now featured in the top 10 for three consecutive years.

Behind Garrett, Allen gains one place compared to his place in the previous edition. He is the highest-ranked quarterback, ahead of Matthew Stafford at No. 4 and Drake Maye at No. 11.

The Bills' leader remains one of the most complete threats in the NFL. Last season, he posted 3,668 passing yards and 25 passing touchdowns, along with 579 rushing yards and 14 rushing scores.

That versatility was not enough, however, to carry Buffalo to the Super Bowl. After a regular season of 12 wins and five losses, the Bills were eliminated in overtime by Denver in the Divisional Round.

Six Rams players ranked in the NFL Top 100

Having arrived in Los Angeles in early June in a trade with Cleveland, Myles Garrett joins a team already particularly well represented in the rankings.

Alongside Garrett, Stafford and Nacua, three other Rams feature in the Top 100: Davante Adams at No. 53, Byron Young at No. 84, and Kyren Williams at No. 89.

Garrett's arrival is expected to help the defense better support an already formidable offense. Playing with a lead on the scoreboard could also give him more situations where the opposition is forced to pass, letting him make full use of his skills as a pass rusher.

Los Angeles has now added another major name to its defensive line: Aaron Donald, whose return was confirmed last week.

The pairing of the two dominant defenders fuels the Rams' ambitions. It guarantees no trophy, but it gives their defensive potential an entirely different dimension.
