Plenty is on the line for Anthony Joshua as he makes his comeback this Saturday in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, when he takes on Kristian Prenga live on DAZN PPV.
A win over Prenga and Joshua (29-4, 26 KOs) moves forward with an all-British super fight with Tyson Fury that is scheduled for later this year. While Joshua has talked about Fury in media interviews all throughout fight week, the former two-time unified heavyweight champion shut down the Fury question when asked at Thursday's press conference about whether his fellow Englishman will make the trek to the Middle East after his Friday bout with Mariusz Wach in Thailand.
"No, no, no" Joshua told press conference host Jamie Ward as soon as Ward broached him about Fury attending the fight.
"We don't want to talk about Tyson Fury, respectfully. I've done all the media I can about what the future holds. Our focus [is] on him [Prenga] and his team, respectfully.

"Anyone can be there Saturday. The more tickets sold, the better. But we're in the ring. Just me and him. And that's where my focus is."
Joshua understands the world wants to focus on him and Fury. But he knows what the heavy-handed Prenga (20-1, 20 KOs) brings to the table on fight night.
"I'm fully focused," Joshua said. "I understand there's a bigger picture. The goal is to conquer the universe. But first, we must conquer Earth. And this is my target here [pointing at Prenga]. It's not only him. I also have to look at his team. We're focusing on the team. My coach against his coach. My physio against his physio. My strategist against his strategist. This fighter against that fighter. and may the best man win."
