Brian Norman Jr. views Keyshawn Davis as a gateway to bigger prizes, admitting a bout with the star would interest him.
The former rebounded from last year's WBO welterweight loss to Devin Haney with a win over Josh Wagner back in May.
Victory for Norman came on the undercard of Davis' own victory over Nahir Albright, with the star poised to move up next.
That would put each man into the other's orbit - and the former admits he would be intrigued by an encounter between them.
"Absolutely, that interests me,” he told The Ring. “That could be my way to a world title. It will be a great fight, a wonderful fight.
"I don't have a personal vendetta. I'm not going to choose any particular opponent. [It is] anybody who can get me back to that belt."
Davis was ordered as mandatory challenger to Haney for the WBO crown that the latter took from Norman earlier this week.
But the champion is busy attempting to secure a catchweight encounter with Shakur Stevenson, raising doubts over any bout.
