Despite the estrangement with his twin brother, Jermall Charlo did make it to Las Vegas to support Jermell as he faces the biggest fight of his career against Saul Alvarez tonight at the T-Mobile Arena.
Jermell revealed in previous interviews that he doesn't talk to his brother and didn't know he would be supporting him. "If (Jermall) isn't here on fight night, that's fine. In the end, either way, he can't fight for me," he said.
Yesterday, in the front row of the weigh-in ceremony, Mall witnessed his brother beat the scales and assured him not to be swayed by what is circulated in the media. He would bet his own heart on his twin brother's victory.
"I will always be rooting for my brother. It doesn't matter what happens. They're trying to make a fuss, but that makes me feel better," Jermall said in an interview with " target="_blank">ESNEWS.
After several mental health problems, Jermall Charlo decided to move to Florida — leaving behind Texas, where he had always trained alongside his brother — and added former world champion Roy Jones Jr. to his team, with whom he is training to return to the ring after a 27-month absence.
With the possibility of his return, several interested parties have emerged, among them David Benavidez. When Mall heard about it, he said "Let's do it."
