Eubank eyes path to Paro title shot with Papot acid test

Harlem Eubank believes victory over David Papot could tee up a pathway to newly minted IBF welterweight champion Liam Paro.
The former faces the latter this month in an intriguing contest, with the Frenchman seeking to get back to winning ways too.
Papot came up short against Paro in his last bout, with the Australian subsequently dethroning Lewis Crocker last month.
Now, Eubank has professed hope that a win could lay a route to a potential world title shot, though he is taking nothing for granted.

"This feels like a world championship-level fight," he told The Ring. "In my eyes, he should have got the decision over Paro.
"I know what he's about. He has taken a lot of scalps already. I'm looking at this like a real world-level fight. I will be prepared.
"Given what he’s achieved, the fights he’s been in so far and how he’s performed, I think it will be a statement on the world scene.
"If I can do a better job on him than Paro did, it will throw me right in there to potentially fight him next. But I’ve got a big challenge."
