Jaron 'Boots' Ennis feels he's on top of the boxing food chain; makes bold Zayas fight prediction

Ahead of Saturday's DAZN PPV headliner against WBA/WBO super welterweight champion Xander Zayas, Jaron 'Boots' Ennis told "The Ariel Helwani Show" on Tuesday that those names are nice, but they aren't it. It's the native of Philadelphia who feels he's at the top of the boxing mountain. Not top five. Not top three. But No. 1 with a bullet.

"For sure," Ennis responded to Helwani when he asked if he's in the top five. "It's a pound-for-pound list. That's my pound-for-pound list. I don't think. I know. I'm going to show it on Saturday.

"I put myself at No. 1. I believe that. I know for a fact that I'm pound-for-pound No. 1. I'm going to show it on Saturday. 

Out of his 35 career victories, 31 of those wins have come by knockout for the undefeated former unified welterweight champion. Ennis (35-0, 31 KOs) sees the fight ending only one way: with Zayas on his back and himself claiming two belts at 154 pounds. 

"The fight is going to play out however I want it to play out," Ennis said. "I'm going to do whatever I want. Taking nothing away from his skills or ability, I just think I'm going to be too much. I'm going to put on a show.

"I'm going to get a knockout at the end of the night."
