Jazza Dickens mounts the first defence of his WBA super-featherweight title tonight when he faces Anto Cacace in Dublin.
The Liverpool fighter has made the short trip across the Irish Sea to the 3Arena for his inaugural bout as world champion.
In his path stands another former kingpin in the shape of the 'Apache', whose own bona-fides make him a narrow favourite.

One of British boxing's most unsung journeyman contenders, Dickens found vindication when he was elevated to champion status last December.
He had booked his WBA interim crown with a July stoppage over Albert Batyrgaziev, marking his fourth win since a 2023 loss to Hector Andres Sosa.
In the interim, Dickens booked two impressive knockouts against Jayro Fernando Duran and Eduardo Mancito, plus a decision against Zelfa Barrett.

Thirty-seven years young, but with less bouts on the clock than his rival, Cacace is making hay while the going is good amid a late-career purple patch.

'Apache' scored a 2024 knockout over Joe Cordina to earn the IBF strap, then beat ex-champions Josh Warrington and Leigh Wood to underline his skill.
