Fabio Wardley set up a dream bout with Oleksandr Usyk on Saturday night as the Briton moved into pole position for an undisputed title shot with victory over Joseph Parker.
An eleventh-round stoppage against the New Zealander at London's The O2 Arena ripped up the pre-bout book and installed the former white-collar star as a global talent.
In a back-and-forth encounter, Parker looked to have got the better of his opponent on multiple occasions, and led on the scorecards heading into the penultimate stage.
But Wardley's sheer tenacity ultimately got him on top, with referee Howard Foster intervening to call the fight in his favour just before the round came to a close.
