Justis Huni vs. Frazer Clarke: Who has the edge heading into their fight?
Ultimate Tier: PPVs & 185 fight nights included

Justis Huni was outboxing Fabio Wardley, well ahead on scorecards in the 10th round, when the unthinkable happened — he fell victim to an electric right hand for the stunning knockout defeat.

The Australian fighter will look to bounce back from that June loss on Saturday night, when he clashes with Frazer Clarke in a big heavyweight tilt at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. The bout will take place as part of the Tyson Fury vs. Arslanbek Makhmudov card.

The sole loss suffered by Huni (12-1, 7 KOs) was a tough one to stomach for the 27-year-old, considering he had to then watch Wardley move on to become the current WBO heavyweight world champion. Huni faces a Clarke (9-2-1, 7 KOs) who responded to a knockout loss to Wardley in 2024 by stopping Ebenezer Tetteh in one round last April before suffering a split-decision win over Jeamie Tshilkeva in November.

Will Huni’s sweet science skills be too pointed for Clarke? Or will Clarke’s punching power overwhelm Huni? DAZN News examines who has the edge heading into their fight.

Boxing Styles

Justis Huni is a true, agile heavyweight who feints and changes levels smoothly in being aided by quick feet.

It is within the norm for the 6-foot-4 Australian to be the first to the punch in traffic with the jab or get low, stab to the body and rise up with a blistering hook around opponents’ guards in a blink of an eye. Huni adds to fighters’ frustrations by making them miss on the other end with stellar pacing and spacing.

That sweet science skill will be up against the heavy, clubbing hands of Frazer Clarke who enjoys pressuring forward and leaning on fighters with his 6-foot-6 frame as usually the bigger man.

The push in this bout could come down to Huni’s skills and conditioning — both areas where he holds the advantage.

Edge: Huni

Power

Everyone seemingly has power at heavyweight including Huni and Clarke, though the latter tends to generate more pop to his punch with seven of his nine wins coming by the way of knockout. 'Big Fraze' gets the nod here.

Edge: Clarke

Mental Warfare

If you are Huni, you must feel good entering this fight knowing you got the better of the current WBO heavyweight world champion in Wardley for most of 10 rounds before one punch dramatically changed everything. Confidence should come with that, especially considering Huni has had nearly a year to assess and rebuild from his only loss.

Clarke, like Wardley, can change the outcome of a fight with a single punch, though his conditioning is not the same as the champ’s — and that could be an issue against Huni.

Edge: Huni

Who has the edge in Huni vs. Clarke?

DAZN News has the edge in this heavyweight clash tilting toward Huni, 2-1. Of course, Clarke has the heavy hands to alter that projection, though Huni’s bundle of boxing skills can turn the British fighter into a stationary target if the Australian deploys them well enough. Each man is coming off a loss, though Huni's upside ekes out Clarke's urgency.
