I have lost my last two fights but I could be about to fight for the world heavyweight title this month

The British fighter appeared to be close to the exit door after suffering back-to-back defeats in his last two contests against Derek Chisora and Filip Hrgovic. 

Set to face Artem Suslenkov on July 11, Joyce could now be put into the main event against WBA champion, Murat Gassiev after Tony Yoka withdrew with injury.

The Frenchman has endured a tough year relating to activity after his first scheduked meeting this year against Lawrecne Okolie was postpned after the latter failed a drugs test. 

Yoka was then handed a huge opportubity against Gassiev, but it appears that Joyce could be the man to step up and try to make good on Yoka’s misfirtune. 

The fight is still not confirmed but The Ring have reported that replacement opponents are being looked at for Gassiev and Joyce is the most likely option. 

If the fight does go ahead, the WBA would need to approve the contrst for their title, and it remains uncleaer whether they would do that based on Joyce’s current form.
