Naoya Inoue and Jesse Rodriguez's proposed super-bout could be headed to DAZN, according to Matchroom's Eddie Hearn.
A blockbuster matchup between 'The Monster' and 'Bam', two of the sport's pound-for-pound kings, has been mooted for 2027.
Inoue, riding high off a super-bantamweight defence against Junto Nakatani, is likely to welcome the challenge from Rodriguez.
Now, Hearn has revealed to The Ring that DAZN have asked for discussions to begin over a timeline and deal for any such fight.
"DAZN has asked us to start negotiations for that fight," he said. "They're very interested in that fight worldwide, particularly in Japan.
"But it depends when that takes place. If it's going to happen in January, we might go a little bit earlier [with another fight for Rodriguez].
"Bam is going to fight in November or December. He'll most likely unify again. We haven't heard anything about the Inoue fight.
"Everyone keeps talking. We've publicly stated we're interested in that fight. We want that fight, but we haven't really heard anything."
