Dev scores triple-knockdown en-route to Diaz victory

Indian super welterweight Nishant Dev continues his rapid ascent towards that goal, scoring three knockdowns to knock out Cesar Diaz by knockout at 2:56 of the first round to kickoff the Anthony Joshua vs. Kristian Prenga main card live on DAZN PPV.
After scoring two knockdowns early in the opening stanza, Dev took his time until he found the right opening. Dev found it with time winding down in the first when he bent his slightly to connect with a crisp left uppercut to send Diaz down one last time. Diaz made it back to his feet but the referee had seen enough and waved it off with four seconds remaining in the round.
The win moves Dev to 7-0 with five knockdowns.
"There's not an Indian boxer from India that's a world champion," Dev told DAZN in his post-fight interview. "So now, I'm going to be shutting their mouths and becoming a world champion."
