Rozicki 'ready to go again' after Billam-Smith war in Bournemouth

Ryan Rozicki insists he is "ready to go again", and stresses he will not protest his corner's call to stop his fight with Chris Billam-Smith.
The Canadian lost a cruiserweight slugfest against the former WBOÂ champion in their Zuffa debut bout in Bournemouth on Saturday.
Rozicki, who had vowed to go the distance or be knocked out, saw his corner throw the towel in after seven punishing rounds of action.
But now, the star has paid tribute to both his own team and his rival, while telling Zuffa boss Dana White he is keen to fight once more.

"I always said I'd rather be stopped in an exciting fight than win a boring one," Rozicki said on Instagram in an update to fans.
"Congrats to Chris Billam-Smith and his team, an absolute honour to share the ring. A true world champion and absolute gentleman.
"We both ended up in the hospital. I wish you nothing but the best. Live to fight another day. I hope everyone enjoyed the fight.
"I would have went to the death last night but my coach made the decision that I will never protest. Dana White, I'm ready to go again."
Will Rozicki's spirit earn bigger chances?

If there has been a frustration for Ryan Rozicki across his career so far, it has been the struggle to book some of those bigger bouts.
In battling Chris Billam-Smith, he got his wish - and though the contest only went seven rounds, his style left an undeniable impact.
Given Rozicki's natural ability to sell himself as a brutal operator, it seems unlikely that he will be left on the shelf waiting for another shot.
The issue he faces is the relatively svelte stable of options Zuffa can offer him so far, even if cruiserweight is one of their busy divisions.
Perhaps a bout with Brandon Glanton, the last man in with Billam-Smith and Jai Opetaia, could be the rich reward for him to pursue next?
