Sunny Edwards vs. Galal Yafai: Eddie Hearn gives update on all-British clash

Eddie Hearn believes that he is closing in on a fight between Sunny Edwards and Galal Yafai.
Edwards last fight saw him win against Adrian Curiel in June, but had expected that a fight with Yafai would soon come his way.
Before then he lost his IBF flyweight belt against Jesse ‘Bam’ Rodriguez in late 2023.
31-year-old Yafai would make an all-British contest to draw viewers from across the world, and the winner would be in good shape for a title challenge down the line.
“We’re in negotiations,” Hearn told BoxingScene. “Sunny Edwards has agreed his deal, and we’re just finalising now with Galal Yafai and his team. But the plan for that fight would be November 30th in Birmingham.”
He added: “Hopefully we can get a deal done in the next week.
“I think it’s the right fight for both. I think it’s a really good and big fight for British boxing. So, I’d like to get it done. Very soon.”
