Taylor vs. Serrano undercard: Liam Smith wears down and stops Jessie Vargas at Madison Square Garden

Liam Smith settled his war of words with Jessie Vargas once and for all early in round 10. The American looked good in spells and landed well with the counter-attacking approach, but could only sustain Smith's focused pressure for so long.

Up six rounds to three on DAZN's unofficial ringside scorecard heading into the 10th, 'Beefy' went straight back to work and after 41 seconds of that frame the referee put an end to it.

Elsewhere on the undercard, Franchon Crews-Dezurn became undisputed super-middleweight champion after a 10-round unanimous decision unified her and Elin Cederroos' belts, while Galal Yafai forced Miguel Cartagena to remain on his stool after two one-sided rounds.
