Top Rank ready to continue momentum with DAZN deal

In a historic announcement on Thursday morning, DAZN announced a multi-year deal with the legendary promotion Top Rank Boxing .

"The sport that has been really growing for us is boxing," DAZN CEO of Growth Markets Pete Oliver said at Wednesday's press conference about why the decision was made to want Top Rank. "And we have been the home of boxing for a number of years. We're bringing together a number of promoters onto our platform.
"There were a couple of reasons we wanted to do this deal that were very important to us. The first is to really bring Top Rank's unrivaled stable, expertise into the mix for DAZN Boxing to make the best fights. And the second is to strengthen our position here in the USA. We had a great year last year. We had the FIFA Club World Cup, but we also saw our boxing business grow really rapidly. And we know Top Rank has an amazing history, an amazing track record, so we wanted them to join the business and join the party."
Top Rank continued to thrive in the last half of 2025 and the beginning of 2026, with Keyshawn Davis, unified super welterweight champion Xander Zayas, and featherweight champion Bruce "Shu Shu" Carrington leading the way to now make the trek over to the Global Home of Boxing.
DAZN and Top Rank have been talking for a while, but there was a bond that really brought it over the finish line.
"I think what we saw out of them (DAZN), which was amazing, was the real dedication towards the sport on a global basis," President of Top Rank, Todd duBoef said at the presser.
"Take it a step further, let's get that less friction when trying to make matches by consolidating a lot of the marketplace, by consolidating a lot of the European guys, we knew the matches were there to be made. We didn't need to add a layer.
"When we got into a room, we actually realized we were like-minded. We were like-minded on how we want to present the sport, how we want to grow the sport and how we want to put the best foot forward for the fans."
"What makes our guys so good?," duBoef said. "There's a matchmaking piece to our equation. How Bruce Trampler and Brad Goodman (matchmakers) have architected the careers of so many fighters. They have got it.
"I don't want to brag, but we've whipped everybody's ass the last six months. We just put an ass-whooping on everybody."
