Hasan Mahmud produced the best Test performance of his career as Bangladesh stunned Australia on the opening day of their first Test in Darwin.
The 26-year-old fast bowler claimed career-best figures of 6-55 as Australia were dismissed for just 198 after choosing to bat first.
It was Australia's lowest Test total against Bangladesh since 2017 and gave the tourists control of the match on their return to Australia for their first tour of the country in 23 years.
Steve Smith provided the main resistance for Australia, but Hasan tore through a batting line-up containing some of the biggest names in world cricket to put Bangladesh in a commanding position.
Bangladesh then reached 96/1 by the close of play, trailing Australia by only 102 runs heading into day two.

Who is Hasan Mahmud?
Hasan Mahmud is a 26-year-old Bangladesh international fast bowler who was born in Lakshmipur on October 12, 1999.
A right-arm fast-medium bowler, Hasan first represented Bangladesh at senior international level in a T20I against Zimbabwe in March 2020 before making his ODI debut against the West Indies the following year.
His Test opportunity arrived later, with Hasan making his debut in the longest format against Sri Lanka in Chattogram in March 2024.
He has since developed into an important part of Bangladesh's increasingly dangerous pace attack.
Hasan showed his ability against elite opposition during Bangladesh's 2024 tour of India, dismissing Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli during an impressive opening spell in Chennai before later adding Rishabh Pant.
The fast bowler's performance in Darwin follows an impressive spell in English county cricket earlier this summer.
He joined Kent in June and made an immediate impact on his County Championship debut against Lancashire.
Hasan took 3-32 in the first innings before producing figures of 6-69 in the second, helping Kent secure a 140-run victory at Blackpool.
At the time, the six-wicket haul represented the best first-class innings figures of his career.
Less than two months later, he has now produced an even bigger performance on the international stage against Australia.
With Bangladesh beginning their first Australian tour since 2003, Hasan's six-wicket haul has given the visitors an opportunity to turn a long-awaited return into a potentially historic result.

Hasan delivered the biggest performance of his Test career in Darwin.
The Bangladesh quick finished Australia's first innings with figures of 6-55, surpassing his previous Test best as the hosts were bowled out for 198 in 53 overs.
It was also a historic performance for Bangladesh, with Hasan recording the best Test bowling figures by a Bangladesh player against Australia.
His spell was particularly significant given the strength of the Australian side, with Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood and Nathan Lyon all returning as the hosts fielded a powerful team for the opening Test.
Australia had been expected to take control of the series on home soil, but Hasan and the Bangladesh attack instead ensured the tourists enjoyed a memorable return to Test cricket in the country.
