Alex Ovechkin: Retirement or one more season with the Washington Capitals?

Will he or won't he?
That's been the question all season long on whether Washington Capitals star Alex Ovechkin will retire or return for a 22nd NHL season. The top all-time NHL goal scorer conducted a pre-taped interview that aired on Wednesday with Capitals radio broadcaster John Walton. Ovechkin made it clear that a decision hasn't been made yet and won't be until the Captials season concludes, as his contract ends on June 30.
"We're going to make a decision in the summer," Ovechkin told Walton.
Currently, the Capitals are three points out of the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference with three games remaining. One of the most important factors in Ovechkin's decision will be his health since he's much closer to the end than the beginning of his storied career.
"If I was 35 or 25, that's one thing. But when you're 40, you have to think about your future," Ovechkin said.
Ovechkin has 31 goals this season for the Capitals. He also has the most power goals (331), game-winning goals (141), and shots with 7,091. The Capitals return to the ice on Saturday when they travel to Pittsburgh to face longtime Ovechkin rival Sidney Crosby and the Penguins.
