The first round of the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs is in the books, and we are now in round two. You can watch every game of the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs live on DAZN (except in the US and Canada).
Monday evening saw another series begin, and the top team in the East had to come from behind to win overtime.
The Philadelphia Flyers had things well in control, up 2-0 heading into the third period. It appeared they were on their way to victory and evening up the series with the top seed in the Eastern Conference.
However, the Carolina Hurricanes showed why they are the best in the East as they came back to score two goals in regulation to send the game into overtime. The Hurricanes made the comeback complete in OT with Taylor Hall scoring his third goal of the Stanley Cup Playoffs to give Carolina the 3-2 victory. They are now up in the series 2-0.
The Golden Knights took care of business in Game 1 with a 3-1 victory over the Anaheim Ducks, but not without a bit of controversy.
With the game tied at one with a little over five minutes remaining in regulation, it appeared the Golden Knights were going to be called for icing by forward Ivan Barbashev. Instead, the referees let the play go on, which led to Babashev scoring the game-winner with 4:58 left.
Game 2 will be on Wednesday evening in Las Vegas.
