Khabib Nurmagomedov’s former trainer tipped Charles Oliveira and Arman Tsarukyan to star at UFC 300.
The two fight this weekend at the third centenary event for the franchise, and it’s anyone’s guess as to who will emerge victorious.
Speaking to King Casino Bonus , Javier Mendez was unwilling to tip a winner, but expected a tough contest at the event shown live on ESPN+ PPV in the US ( click here for details ).
He said: “I'm most looking forward to Tsarukyan and Oliveira, it's highly competitive. I love Charles's style, and his attitude.
“He's a great champion and I love what he says and what he does, he lets nothing bother him. He's great for the sport.
“He's fought everybody and almost beat everybody, this guy [is] the real deal. I want him to win, I don't know if he will. Tsarukyan is no joke. “
