PFL: Paul Hughes Wins by TKO and Calls Out Usman Nurmagomedov

He had promised DAZN News a first-round knockout against Bruno Miranda, and he delivered. Facing the Brazilian, Hughes didn’t flinch. In front of his home crowd, it took the 28-year-old just 42 seconds to win by TKO.

After scoring a knockdown, Hughes (14-2) unleashed his ground and pound to force the referee to step in. A dominant victory for the man now demanding a rematch with Usman Nurmagomedov. Last January, Hughes lost to Nurmagomedov by majority decision after five rounds.

“Usman Nurmagomedov. You can run, you can try to delay this rematch as long as you want, but your day is coming,” warned Paul Hughes after the fight.

Lewis McGrillen Keeps the Momentum Going

In the evening's co-main event, Lewis “McGrizzla” McGrillen (12-1) won by submission in the second round against Alan Philpott. Winner of the PFL Europe bantamweights tournament, the Manchester Top Team fighter won by rear naked choke. At the age of 24, Lewis McGrillen is continuing to build on his success.
