Two strawweights competed in the main event when Amanda Lemos and Virna Jandiroba faced off at UFC Vegas 94 on Saturday night.
After an incredibly close first round, Jandiroba secured a submission in the second with just a few seconds remaining in the round. She will likely earn a shot at the champion after this performance.
"Dana, I'm the next one," she said in the Octagon after the win. "Dana, I'm your next champion."
Tatiana Suarez is the rightful next contender for Weili Zhang but due to an injury, has been sidelined. Jandiroba is now on a four-fight win streak and made a statement with her emphatic win.
