Comedians, parents, and married couple Megan Gailey and C.J. Toledano are bringing their signature humor and sports fandom to the mic with "Co-Captains," an all-new eight-episode podcast show that dives into the latest and greatest in sports and culture—all through the lens of parenting.
Gailey and Toledano will take on the world of sports with a light-hearted approach, breaking down the hottest topics both on and off the field and engaging in hilarious sports-related game segments. The show will also welcome some of the biggest names in sports and comedy—who also happen to be parents. From juggling game days and diaper changes to figuring out how superstar athletes get their kids to bed on time, no topic is off-limits.
"We've spent our entire relationship talking sports, debating the GOATs, and arguing about whether our toddler should be a lefty or righty for draft purposes. Now, we finally get to turn those conversations into a podcast," Gailey said. "We're mixing our love for sports, our love for comedy, and our exhaustion as parents into something fun, relatable, and—hopefully—laugh-out-loud funny."
"Co-Captains" will run weekly across the social media channels of DAZN and Whistle, a DAZN-owned global sports media and entertainment company built to engage and activate today’s generation, wherever they consume content. The show will feature a mix of sports talk, cultural deep dives, and plenty of ridiculous parenting moments through interviews with athletes and entertainers who know the struggle of balancing big careers and tiny humans.
"Megan and C.J. are the perfect duo to bring humor, insight, and unfiltered honesty to the world of sports and parenting,” Noah Weissman, DAZN EVP, Social and Content, said “Their dynamic as comedians and parents makes for an incredibly engaging, fresh take on the intersection of sports and real life."
