Key Arsenal duo to miss Fulham match

Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber will not be available for Arsenal's Premier League match against Fulham on Saturday, with captain Martin Odegaard's participation likely to be a late decision.
Mikel Arteta delivered the injury update on all three players following the Gunners' training session on Friday, confirming Havertz' and Timber's status while keeping the door open for Odegaard to feature against the Cottagers.
"Yes, Kai and Jurrien will be out," the Arsenal manager said when asked about the duo, while simply stating "let's see" in regards to Odegaard.
Timber has missed each of Arsenal's last nine matches while dealing with an ankle injury, having last played in mid-March. Meanwhile, Odegaard has spent a significant portion of 2026 sidelined with various ailments, but he has been able to play a part in the Gunners' last three games.
As for Havertz, the German missed nearly 30 straight games with a knee injury and has been in and out of the side since returning from that setback in January. He was forced to leave Arsenal's 1-0 win over Newcastle on April 25 in the 35th minute after seemingly reinjuring his knee, and was unavailable for the Gunners' 1-1 Champions League draw at Atletico Madrid earlier this week.
For Arteta, Havertz's lengthy battle with injuries this season has cost the Gunners heavily, especially as other players were also dealing with ailments throughout the season.
"He’s been a huge miss - we’re talking about one of the most important attacking players we have, and he’s been out for seven or eight months," Arteta said of Havertz. "Unfortunately, he’s not been the only one with long-term injuries and players who have been missed.
"The team has shown an incredible capacity to overcome these kinds of scenarios and still be very, very competitive."
