Jesse Marsch has named his final Canada squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup as the Canadians prepare to host their first matches of the world's biggest tournament.
After just being happy to be there in Qatar nearly four years ago, the expectations for this team have risen. A relentless, athletic Canada gave a glimpse of their potential on the 2024 Copa America, and now it's time for the side to take a step further on an even bigger stage.
The 2026 World Cup, from June 11 to July 19, is an expanded format with 48 national teams now competing, originally divided into 12 groups.
Canada will host Bosnia-Herzegovina, Qatar and Switzerland in Group B, starting Friday, June 12, against the Bosnians in Toronto.

Canada squad for the 2026 World Cup
All squads are provisional until FIFA announces the final list of 26 players, following the submission of applications by the participating teams on June 1.
Jesse Marsch announced his final squad on May 29. A day later, Marcelo Flores suffered a torn ACL while playing for Mexican outfit Tigres UANL in the CONCACAF Champions Cup, rendering him unavailable for the tournament.
On June 9, Jayden Nelson (Austin FC) was named as Flores' replacement.
