Cedric Main seals comeback win for Fylde against 10-man Tamworth
Fylde hit back to beat 10-man Tamworth 2-1 at the HD Ricketts Community Stadium and clinch their first win following promotion.
Summer signing  Kieren Donnelly fired Tamworth into an early lead, slotting coolly home in a one-on-one after racing clear on to Nathan Tshikuna’s long ball over the top.
But Fylde turned the game on its head with two goals in six minutes before the break as Danny Ormerod headed home a free-kick from close range and Cedric Main’s well-struck shot squirmed in at the near post.
Fylde goalkeeper Zac Jones’ superb double save denied Tamworth pair Ben Acquaye and Donnelly before Lambs defender Joe Rye was shown his second yellow card for his challenge on Main in stoppage time.
