Diogo Jota will be honoured at this month's FC Pro World Championship after EA SPORTS FC announced the tournament trophy has been renamed in his memory.
The tribute comes a year after the Liverpool and Portugal forward's death and ahead of the FC Pro World Championship, which takes place from July 22 to 26 as part of the Esports World Cup.
Announcing the decision on social media, EA SPORTS FC said the trophy had been renamed with the blessing of Jota's family.

"With his family's blessing, the trophy has been renamed in recognition of Diogo's love for EA SPORTS FC and his passion for esports – both as a competitor and as the founder of his own esports team.
"It will be lifted for the first time this summer at the FC Pro World Championship."
The Esports World Cup also paid tribute, writing: "We are honoured to have Diogo Jota's name etched into the trophy and Esports World Cup history."
Jota was widely regarded as one of football's most passionate gamers.
