England secured top spot in World Cup Group L with a 2–0 victory over Panama at MetLife Stadium.
After a scoreless first half where Orlando Mosquera repeatedly denied them, Jude Bellingham broke the deadlock in the 62nd minute before Harry Kane headed home five minutes later.
Kane's goal took him to 11 World Cup goals, surpassing Gary Lineker as England's all-time leading scorer in the tournament.

1. 8' — Rashford denied by Mosquera
Marcus Rashford created England's first significant opening, working space inside the area before shooting toward the bottom left corner.
Orlando Mosquera got down well to parry the effort away, setting the tone for a first half of Panama resistance.
2. 27' — Rodríguez forces Pickford save
José Luis Rodríguez produced Panama's best chance of the opening period, driving into the area and striking a left-footed shot toward the bottom corner.
Jordan Pickford reacted well to push the ball behind for a corner.
The chance showed Panama carried a counter-attacking threat despite England's dominance.
3. 45+3' — Rashford free kick grazes post
Marcus Rashford came agonisingly close to breaking the deadlock in first-half stoppage time.
Standing over a central free kick, he curled his effort around the wall with pace and dip, the ball passing just wide of the right post.
4. 57' — Kane chance saved
Harry Kane was denied by Mosquera with the clearest opening yet.
A pass found Kane in a shooting position and the England captain struck with his right foot, but the Panama goalkeeper stood firm to make the save.
5. 62' — Bellingham opens the scoring
Jude Bellingham finally broke Panama's resistance from a corner.
Bukayo Saka delivered from the left, the ball dropped for Bellingham at the near post and he stretched out his left foot to guide it into the net.
The goal came after England had struggled to unlock Panama's organised defence for over an hour.
6. 67' — Kane heads England's second
Harry Kane doubled England's advantage with a historic header.
Bellingham swung in a cross from the left flank and Kane rose to meet it, directing the ball past Mosquera to make it Panama 0–2 England.
The goal took Kane to 11 World Cup goals, breaking Gary Lineker's England record.

7. 90+2' — Fajardo goal ruled out for offside
José Fajardo found the net for Panama but the goal was immediately disallowed.
The substitute finished from close range after Mosquera had saved an England counter-attack, but the assistant referee's flag denied what would have been a dramatic late equaliser.
Panama's search for their first-ever World Cup point continued.
