Supercomputer predicts who will win the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup - we are in for a stunning final

The FIFA Club World Cup finally kicks off this weekend, as thirty-two teams head to the USA looking to be crowned the best team in the world.
Elite names from all corners of the globe will descend on the competition, each looking to be the first to win this brand-new, revamped version of the tournament.
It will all be played out live and for free on DAZN, with all 63 matches available on your smart TV, phone, tablet, streaming device or game consoles via the free DAZN App.
Ahead of proceedings in the States, Opta has been looking at the tournament and seeing what its supercomputer predicts for the outcome of the big event.
The Opta Supercomputer simulated the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup competition 10,000 times and collated its findings into percentages on how far each team will go in the competition.
What it showed is that the European teams will be heavily fancied in the USA, with the top eleven all coming from the continent, but there are some interesting predictions from elsewhere around the globe.

The Club World Cup favourites
It's no surprise to see Europe's elite teams take their place at the top of the Supercomputer's predicted chart, but it's Paris Saint-Germain who they see as most likely to life the trophy.
The new European champions run out winners in 18.5% of their simulations and the team is most likely to make the last four of the competition. This may be down to a pathway that, although sees them face Atletico Madrid in the group phase, they would then play a team from Group A, which is a pool without one of the competition's leading clubs.
The French side's nearest challengers look to be Manchester City, who could put a disappointing season behind them by winning the FIFA Club World Cup.
No manager has won the competition more times than Pep Guardiola and in 17.8% of the simulations, City came out on top. That may still be just below PSG, but it's a healthy way in front of the remaining contenders.
The rest of the chasing pack consists of Bayern Munich (12.8%), Inter Milan (12.3%), Real Madrid (9.8%) and Chelsea (8.4%).

Behind those teams come four more European sides, who are still favoured heavily to reach the last 16 and beyond in the tournament.
Of those, Borussia Dortmund are the most fancied to get out of their group, with the Supercomputer calculating them getting to the knockout stage in 92.7% of their simulations. That is in part to them bring drawn into one of the more kinder groups, alongside Fluminense, Ulsan HD and Mamelodi Sundowns. Although in only 5.4% did the Germans go on to win the whole competition.
Further down the list, Atletico Madrid made the last 16 73.7% of the time, while Juventus and Benfica are also expected to at least get out of their groups.

Club World Cup outsiders
Looking beyond Europe at the elite teams, it's River Plate who the Supercomputer has given the best chance of making an impression on the tournament.
The famous Argentine side ranks 12th in their overall findings, with a 48.9% chance of making it out of the group, but only 0.3% of the time causing a shock by winning the Club World Cup.
However, the trio of Palmeiras, Flamengo and Al Hilal all made it out of their group in half of the simulations the computer made.
At the other end of the scale, it's Auckland City, who the Supercomputer calculated have the least likely chance of any glory in the States.
The team from New Zealand only got out of their group on 0.1% of the simulations and has a 0% success rate. One of nine teams that failed to win the competition at all during the findings.
