The Round of 16 comes to a close later today with the final two matches taking place.

Defending champions Argentina are in action against Egypt, while Switzerland face tournament dark horses Colombia.

DAZN News previews the day's action at the World Cup.

Argentina vs. Egypt

  • Date: Tuesday, July 7
  • Kick-off time: 5pm BST / 12pm ET / 9am PT
  • Venue: Atlanta Stadium

Just a day after Cristiano Ronaldo's World Cup exit, Argentina captain Lionel Messi will hope not to suffer the same fate when his nation faces Egypt.

Egypt have their own talisman in Mohamed Salah, and it will be interesting to see how the two players fare going head-to-head.

Lionel Messi’s greatest World Cup moments

Argentina will start as favourites despite being taken to extra time by Cape Verde, but even if things are not going well on the pitch, the defending champions appear to have an aura that can carry them through the toughest moments.

However, if Cape Verde can expose some of Argentina's vulnerabilities, especially on the wings, then the likes of Salah could cause problems, which will make for an entertaining game.

Switzerland vs. Colombia

  • Date: Tuesday, July 7
  • Kick-off time: 9pm BST / 4pm ET / 1pm PT
  • Venue: BC Place Vancouver

The final Round of 16 tie takes place in Canada, where Switzerland face Colombia.

Switzerland have certainly kicked on since drawing their opening game against Qatar and are improving with every performance, with 20-year-old Johan Manzambi fast becoming an in-demand target after setting up Switzerland's opener against Algeria just 10 minutes into the game.

Colombia are on a similar trajectory. The South American side has shown they can overcome various tactical obstacles, for example, in the Round of 32 win over Ghana, where they demonstrated that they can break down teams who employ a low block.

Against Switzerland, it should be a more open game, which could play into Colombia's hands, who are attack-minded and have registered 20 or more shots in their last three World Cup matches.
