World Cup stories: Who are all the managers set to lead their teams in the USA, Mexico and Canada?

As such, many of the most famous footballers in the world will take to the pitch in North America. But it is not just the players who will bring notoriety to the United States, Mexico and Canada, it is also the managers. 

From Carlo Ancelotti to Mauricio Pochettino, Julian Nagelsmann to Ronald Koeman, Thomas Tuchel to Didier Deschamps, the tournament will see the brightest football minds try to outthink each other in the quest for ultimate glory.

Here are all the managers set to guide their teams at the World Cup, listed by group:

FIFA World Cup 26: List of every manager and head coach set to be in North America

Group A

• Mexico: Javier Aguirre
• South Africa: Hugo Broos
• Korea Republic: Hong Myung-bo
• Czechia: Miroslav Koubek

Javier Aguirre is the standout name in Group A, with the Mexico international-turned-manager having also coached the likes of Atletico Madrid, Mallorca, Japan and Egypt in his post-playing career.

Group B

• Canada: Jesse Marsch
• Bosnia: Sergej Barbarez
• Qatar: Julen Lopetegui
• Switzerland: Murat Yakin 

Former Spain, Real Madrid, West Ham United and Sevilla boss Julen Lopetegui looks to make his mark with Group B underdogs Qatar.

Group C

• Brazil: Carlo Ancelotti
• Morocco: Mohamed Ouahbi
• Haiti: Sébastien Migné
• Scotland: Steve Clarke

Arguably the most famous and successful manager heading to North America, Carlo Ancelotti's list of former employers is unmatched.

• Paraguay: Gustavo Alfaro
• Australia: Tony Popovic
• Türkiye: Vincenzo Montella

Mauricio Pochettino is tasked with leading the USA to a long run on home soil. The Argentine has managed Chelsea, PSG and Tottenham, but this is his first stint as a national team head coach.

• Germany: Julian Nagelsmann
• Curaçao: Fred Rutten
• Côte d'Ivoire: Emerse Faé
• Ecuador: Sebastián Beccacece

Germany boss Julian Nagelsmann is still only 38 years old, but his experience with Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig should have him well-prepared to lead his country on the world stage.

• Netherlands: Ronald Koeman
• Japan: Hajime Moriyasu
• Sweden: Graham Potter
• Tunisia: Sabri Lamouchi

Dutch legend Ronald Koeman is on his second stint in charge of the Netherlands, with time previously spent patrolling the sidelines at Barcelona, Everton and more.

• New Zealand: Darren Bazeley

French manager Rudi Garcia transitioned to international football when he took on the top job with Belgium last year, after helming the likes of Napoli, Roma and Marseille.

• Spain: Luis de la Fuente
• Cabo Verde: Bubista
• Saudi Arabia: Hervé Renard
• Uruguay: Marcelo Bielsa

Marcelo Bielsa's influence on the art of football management is massive, and the former Argentina, Chile and Lazio boss is now in charge with Uruguay.

Group I

• France: Didier Deschamps
• Senegal: Pape Thiaw
• Iraq: Graham Arnold
• Norway: Ståle Solbakken

Didier Deschamps is the only living man to have won the World Cup as both a player and a coach, and the France manager is looking to raise the famous trophy once again.

Argentina are the defending World Cup champions after winning the 2022 tournament with Lionel Scaloni in charge, and the 47-year-old returns to the big stage hoping to guide his nation to back-to-back victories.

• DR Congo: Sébastien Desabre
• Uzbekistan: Fabio Cannavaro
• Colombia: Néstor Lorenzo

Portugal boss Roberto Martínez is no stranger to coaching at the World Cup after leading Belgium at 2018 and 2022.

• England: Thomas Tuchel
• Croatia: Zlatko Dalić
• Ghana: Carlos Queiroz
• Panama: Thomas Christiansen

Former Chelsea, Bayern Munich and PSG manager Thomas Tuchel is the man tasked with guiding England to their first World Cup title in 60 years.
