Lucas Hernandez and Theo Hernandez (France) 

This is nothing new for the Hernandez full-backs, who will be part of the French squad for a second consecutive World Cup. 

PSG's Lucas is the elder and was also present for France's 2018 World Cup win. Interestingly, though, only one cap separates them, with AC Milan's Lucas on 43, one ahead of his brother.

Quinten Timber and Jurrien Timber (Netherlands) 

Twin brothers Quinten and Jurrien will be part of the Netherlands squad, having both missed out on Euro 2024. 

Arsenal's title-winning defender was injured two years ago, but now can add to his 23 caps, while midfielder Quinten, who plays his football at Marseille, will look to add to his 11 appearances. 

Laros Duarte and Deroy Duarte (Cape Verde) 

Cape Verde's first-ever World Cup squad has its own set of brothers, too, in the Duartes. Both were born in Rotterdam, but will represent the small nation at the tournament. 

Laros is the older of the two and plays in Hungary for Puskás Akadémia, while Deroy is in Bulgaria with Ludogorets.

Leandro Bacuna and Juninho Bacuna (Curacao) 

Aston Villa fans will be familiar with the name Leandro Bacuna, having spent four years at Villa Park, but did you know he and his brother, Juninho, are part of Curacao's squad? 

Now in Turkey with Igdir and the elder of the two, he'll share a pitch with his little brother, who is also currently at a Turkish club with Gaziantep. 

John Souttar (Scotland) and Harry Souttar (Australia) 

A pair of brothers who, internationally, couldn't be further apart, with one repping Scotland and the other Australia. 

John, the elder, made his Scotland debut in 2018 and the Rangers man has 24 caps to his name. However, despite playing for the Scots at youth level, Harry switched allegiance to Australia, the country of their mother's birth. 

At 6'6, the Leicester defender is the tallest outfield player to appear for the Socceroos.

Derrick Luckassen Brobbey (Ghana) and Brian Brobbey (Netherlands) 

We've seen a lot of Brian Brobbey at Sunderland this season, but what you might not know is that his elder brother is a footballer, too, and represents Ghana instead of the Netherlands. 

Born to parents of Ghanaian descent, Brian failed to get a senior call-up to join his older brother, Derrick, and was capped by Ghana in March and will be part of the squad that takes on England. 

Guela Doue (Ivory Coast) and Desire Doue (France) 

Two Doues are set to be unleashed on the World Cup, as brothers Desire and Guela compete for two different nations. 

Younger brother Desire is expected to play a major role in France's bid to reach a third final and comes into it off the back of another Champions League win with PSG. While brother Guela chose to follow their mother's nationality and will appear for the Ivory Coast.

Inaki Williams (Ghana) and Nico Williams (Spain) 

Perhaps one of the most familiar footballing brothers in North America, especially as they are part of two different national teams. 

Older sibling Inaki actually appeared for Spain in one friendly outing in 2016, but later that year chose to represent the country of their parents' birth, Ghana. 

Meanwhile, little bro Nico has stuck with Spain and was one of the stars of their Euro 2024 triumph.
