How USA qualifIed for the Last 32 of the World Cup and who could they face?
Just like that, we have reached the final round of group games at the 2026 World Cup , where the remaining teams with a chance of making the Round of 32 will be keenly aware of the task at hand.
After their second round of fixtures, only seven teams have already made it through to the knockout stages, meaning there is still an awful lot to play for in the third and final group phase clashes.
One side that doesn't have that concern is co-hosts the USA, who are one of those seven who have already made it through with a game to spare.
Their attention will now turn to who they will face in the first knockout game.

How did the USA qualify for the Last 32?
Two wins out of two for the USA mean they have already booked their place in the knockout rounds.
An opening 4-1 thumping of Paraguay was followed by a comfortable victory over Australia, which means they also guarantee going through as group winners.

Who could the USA face in the knockout round?
The USA will top the group and means best third placed team from Groups B, E, F, I or J.
Which could mean a meeting with Bosnia, Ecuador, Sweden, Senegal or Algeria.
