Partick Thistle beat Ayr to move within two points of leaders Stenhousemuir

Clyde replaced Elgin City in first position in League Two after Scott Williamson’s hat-trick earned a dramatic 3-2 win at home to Edinburgh City.

Elgin’s 2-1 loss at Dumbarton opened the door for Clyde, but they trailed Edinburgh after Lennon Walker struck in the 83rd minute.

Williamson produced a masterful turnaround when he levelled with a spot-kick three minutes from time and then kept his cool again from 12 yards deep into stoppage time.

There was also late drama at Kelty Hearts where Nathan Lawson’s goal with five minutes left earned a 2-1 win over Annan Athletic, who had levelled through Tommy Muir with 83 on the clock.

The Spartans claimed a 2-0 triumph at Stirling Albion and Stranraer enjoyed an excellent 3-0 win away to Forfar Athletic.
