Former Manchester United and England midfielder Paul Ince is concerned over three players missing from Euro 2024 for Gareth Southgate.
United winger Rashford has missed out as a result of an underwhelming season, and Jack Grealish fell out of favour with Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.
Another player to miss out is Raheem Sterling of Chelsea, who has not hit his heights at Stamford Bridge.
Speaking to Bet365 , Ince thinks that missing those three wide players could be a problem.
He said: “I was looking at Holland last night and they have a young player in Xavi Simmons who was going past people and Memphis Depay who was breaking lines.
“I don't think England have got that type of player at the moment, I really don’t. England used to have it with Raheem Sterling and Marcus Rashford and could’ve with Grealish, leaving him out is a big call.
“He definitely would have been in my squad, he can also play in numerous positions, on the right, in the middle and on the left, he’ll be gutted.
“Obviously no one saw this coming, no one expected him not to be in the squad. I know you can say that he hasn’t been playing for City but some of the players in England's squad aren’t in form, so that’s a contradiction.
“Southgate has got a lot of players in attacking positions, Jarrod Bowen on the left, Foden who can play anywhere and Palmer on the right, but you've got three players who are playing in one position.
“Obviously Bowen has played up front for West Ham but then you've got Ivan Toney and Ollie Watkins, there was definitely room for Jack Grealish to be in that squad.”
