Port Vale remain winless after defeat at Swindon
Port Vale are still looking for their first win of the season after losing 3-1 at Ian Holloway’s Swindon.
Vale took an early lead through Oliver Lynch but were quickly pegged back by Aaron Drinan’s equaliser.
It stayed that way until 20 minutes from time when Ben Middlemas scored a brilliant volley, with Louis Millard adding a third in stoppage time.
Vale got off to a dream start when Lynch bagged his first goal in professional football, heading in powerfully from Jordan Lawrence-Gabriel’s second-minute cross.
Swindon equalised from a corner 10 minutes later when Drinan smashed home from close range.
The Robins thought they had scored again when Ollie Palmer slotted home after a quick throw-in but the referee ordered it to be retaken.
Middlemas lit up the County Ground 20 minutes from time with a stunning left footed volley from the edge of the area before Millard added a third four minutes into stoppage time.
