Five Premier League deals that could happen before transfer window closes
Watch Premier League live with Fubo Sports on DAZN

It has been a summer transfer window like no other, and with the deadline fast approaching, Premier League clubs are pressed to complete their business.

Several £100million-plus deals have already gone through, with Elliot Anderson, Sandro Tonali and Morgan Rogers among the most expensive additions.

Although it is the early knockings of the new season, clubs have now had the opportunity to see their players in action and have identified which areas need strengthening.

But which deals could go through before the window shuts at 11pm on Tuesday, September 1st? Here, DAZN News brings you the transfers to look out for.

National League

Enzo Fernandez

  • Current club: Chelsea
  • Could join: Manchester City

Enzo Fernandez has made no secret of his desire to leave Chelsea, and it seems he will do so before the close of play on September 1st.

The Argentina international expressed his desire to live in Madrid towards the end of last season, leading to his exile from the squad, but now Manchester City is his most likely destination.

Fernandez has been linked with a move to the Etihad all summer to link up with his former coach Enzo Maresca and was left out of the Blues' squads to face Luton Town and Brighton.

The West London club had set a mid-August deadline for clubs to meet their £120m valuation of the midfielder, but that passed with no bid, and now City are expected to complete a deal for below that figure.

Bradley Barcola

  • Current club: PSG
  • Could join: Liverpool

It is just a matter of time until Bradley Barcola completes his move from PSG to Liverpool and holds the famous red and white scarf above his head.

The Reds have been striving to add wingers before the transfer deadline and have agreed a total package worth up to £123m - the second-highest in Premier League history - with the European champions for the Frenchman's services.

Barcola underwent his medical with the Merseyside club on Sunday and has reportedly signed a five-year deal with the two-time Premier League champions.

The left-winger contributed 39 goals and 37 assists during his time at PSG and will be expected to elevate an underperforming Liverpool side.

Cody Gakpo

  • Current club: Liverpool
  • Could join: Manchester City

It will be a busy end of the window for both Liverpool and Man City, and the clubs are set to conclude business with each other as Cody Gakpo edges closer to the Etihad.

Tottenham have long been linked with a move for the Netherlands international, but after both Savio and Omar Marmoush completed moves to the Lilywhites, City need reinforcements in attack.

Negotiations remain ongoing between the two clubs, with reports suggesting that City's opening bid was around £85m.

It is believed Liverpool are waiting to confirm the signing of Barcola before Gakpo can leave Anfield for the Etihad.

Folarin Balogun

  • Current club: Monaco
  • Could join: Everton

Folarin Balogun has been linked with a return to the Premier League after a successful World Cup with the United States, where he bagged three goals in four matches.

It now seems that Everton is his most likely destination, with the Toffees keen to bolster their frontline before the window closes after Beto agreed a move to Italian outfit Fiorentina.

However, the transfer fee threatens to be a major stumbling block with Everton's opening bid significantly short of Monaco's £43m valuation.

The forward, who bagged 13 goals in Ligue 1 last season, has reportedly agreed personal terms with the Merseyside club and is keen on the switch.

Iliman Ndiaye

  • Current club: Everton
  • Could join: Tottenham

Tottenham have already spent a fortune in a bid to improve upon successive 17th-placed finishes but could still do business before the transfer deadline.

The North Londoners are keen to bolster Roberto De Zerbi's attacking options and have moved for Everton's Iliman Ndiaye as Gakpo nears a move to Man City.

Ndiaye has been outstanding for the Toffees since signing from Marseille in the summer of 2024, notching 17 goals and four assists in 74 appearances.

There has been strong interest from Saudi Arabia, but the Senegal international wants to stay in the Premier League and has agreed terms with Spurs.

The two clubs are in advanced talks over a deal in the region of £60m, with the transfer likely to go through before the deadline.
