Real Madrid put themselves closer to the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup knockout stage with a 3-1 victory over Liga MX side Pachuca on Sunday in North Carolina.
The Spanish giants found themselves at an early disadvantage when Raul Asensio was sent off in the seventh minute of play, allowing Pachuca to take control and test Thibault Courtois early and often.
However, Real Madrid were clinical when they did get their chances, scoring twice before the half-time break and adding another in the 70th minute before Pachuca managed to finally beat Courtois when it was already too late.
