What time are England playing at 2026 World Cup? Match schedule, kick-off times

The tournament, which is being held across the United States, Canada and Mexico, is the biggest its ever been with 48 teams taking part. 

In addition to the later kick-off times, there is a longer knockout stage with the Last 32 awaiting for those teams which successfully navigate the group stage. 

England are one of the favourites to be lifting the famous trophy in New York on July 19, but when are the Three Lions playing?

World Cup 2026: Who are England playing in the group stage? 

England have been drawn in Group L alongside Croatia, Ghana and Panama. 

These three matches will take place over a 10 day period, and currently are the only games with confirmed dates and kick-off times. 

England vs. Croatia

• Date: Wednesday, June 17
• Kick-off: 9pm BST / 4pm ET / 1pm PT

England vs. Ghana

• Date: Tuesday, June 23
• Kick-off: 9pm BST / 4pm ET / 1pm PT

England vs. Panama

• Date: Saturday, June 27

World Cup 2026: What time are England's knockout matches? 

England's knockout game schedule will not be confirmed until the group stage has concluded. 

For this World Cup, the top two teams from each group will advance, along with eight of the best third placed teams. 

So, here are all the knockout stage kick-off times for whichever of the three scenarios England find themselves in after the group matches. 

If England win Group L

• Last 32 match kick-off time: 5pm BST / 12pm ET / 9am PT
• Last 16 match kick-off time: 1am BST / 8pm ET / 5pm PT
• Quarter-final match kick-off time: 10pm BST / 5pm ET / 2pm PT

If England finish second in Group L

• Last 32 match kick-off time: 12am BST / 7pm ET / 4pm PT
• Last 16 match kick-off time: 8pm BST / 3pm ET / 12pm PT
• Quarter-final match kick-off time: 8pm BST / 3pm ET / 12pm PT

If England are one of the eight best third place teams

• Last 32 match kick-off time: 2am BST / 9pm ET / 6pm PT
• Last 16 match kick-off time: 9pm BST / 4pm ET / 1pm PT
• Quarter-final match kick-off time: 2am BST / 9pm ET / 6pm PT

World Cup 2026: When are the semi-finals and final? 

England will no doubt be focusing on the immediate task at hand, but it would not be football if fans are not dreaming of a possible appearance in the semi-finals or even the final at this year's World Cup. 

The two semi-finals will take place on Tuesday, July 14 and Wednesday, July 15. Kick-off will be at 8pm in the UK, which means a 3pm start on the East Coast. 

The final is scheduled for Sunday, July 19, and kick-off is once again set for 8pm BST.
